Hundreds of dissidents and Jews are rounded up by German authorities in the search for whoever planted the bombs in the Munich bierkeller which Hitler had been speaking at.
Ration cards for clothing are issued to German citizens.
Four German destroyers lay 288 magnetic mines in the Thames Estuary during the night of the 12th/13th. These will start to claim victims from tomorrow.
An offer to all warring parties by the neutral Dutch and Belgian governments of mediation talks is turned down by French President Lebrun. The Dutch and Belgian foreign ministers meet at Breda
The first ENSA (Entertainments National Service Association) concert is given for British and French troops in France. It stars French song and dance man Maurice Chevalier and British singer Gracie Fields.
