A Few Site Updates
Apr 22, 12:34 PM
As you’ve probably noticed, we’ve done a little bit of housekeeping on the site today, adding a couple of new features and tidying up some others.
- Now that the site allows comments and the Letters page is gone, the mail form on the left has been replaced by a link to the form.
- A “latest comments” display has been added to help keep track of comments more easily.
- As the amount of content builds up, it can get harder to find the article you’ve looking for. We’ve added a calender widget so you can browse by articles posted on any given date, and a Google search bar will let you hone in quickly if you have something specific in mind.
Let us know if these work for you, or if there’s something we’ve missed. Your comments and feedback really help us to shape the site.
Did it change again since this was posted?
Well spotted! We’ve done some tweaking of the colours and graphics, and added short cuts to some of the top features (on the right-hand side).
Great site. I only found it yesterday, and i’m enjoying it. Have been a Commando fan since the Late 1960s when my grandfather used to buy them for me. I was glad to see the return a couple of years back. I tend to buy them according to artist and content – mostly WWII air stories. How do I view the back issues as i’ve missed a few issues lately. WH Smith in Elgin don’t stock a large amount of copies. Loved Battle of Britain Scramble collection. Keep up the good work.
Hi Gregor. If you go to the website run by Commando’s good friend Vic Whittle — http://www.britishcomics.20m.com/pocket.htm — you’ll see the details and cover thumbnails of every Commando ever printed. You’ll find what you need there. Our subscriptions department — subscriptions@dcthomson.co.uk — should be your next port of call to check on prices and what have you. I hope that will sort you out.
